The Sex - Genital reconstruction is generally performed by men. But it is experienced by a woman named Fatima Sheriff, he had clitoral reconstruction surgery to repair a condition caused by a victim of mutilation.

Sheriff still have a few vague memories of when he was 4 years old and a stranger who cut her genitals and attack while holding a razor blade.

"I remember my mom was the one who hugged her even though it was shot by a stranger. If the person is doing today, I will kill them," said Sheriff (32 years), as quoted by Medindia on Saturday (16.06.2012 ).

Sheriff lived in the west African country, he became one of about 140 million women worldwide who suffered genital mutilation in which the clitoris and labia removed all or part.

This condition makes these women feel shy and not eager to have sex because they feel inadequate and jealous of other women who have intact genitals.

But 18 months ago Sheriff life seemed to change when he underwent reconstructive surgery which includes the manufacture or rebuild the clitoris. After several weeks of painful recovery, now he could feel her first orgasm.

"Wow I can do that, I could feel an orgasm for the first time," said the mother who already has a daughter as she shed tears when told.

Sheriff is one of the patients Pierre Foldes, a surgeon at Poissy-Saint Germain Hospital, Paris who became one of 10 doctors trained to perform this procedure.

Foldes has had a lot of patients between the years 1998-2009, mainly from Mali, Senegal and Ivory Coast, about 560 women have undergone mutilation in France. Most of the 5-9 years old when this happened mutilation.

In the medical journal The Lancet, Foldes and colleagues report the success of this procedure after following up 866 patients. With the support of sex therapists, most of these women can experience orgasm regularly.

The authors reveal the clitoris reconstruction can improve women's pleasure and the pain, and regaining its identity as a woman who had suffered mutilation.
