The Sex - Contraception can help prevent unwanted pregnancies. But unfortunately, many women who do not want to get pregnant again but continue to use short-term contraceptives like the pill or injectable contraceptives.

"There are mothers who already had two children did not want to still use the pill to get pregnant again, it shows there is the possibility of failure risk," said Dr. Melania Hidayat, MPH as the NPO on Reproductive Health UNFPA UNFPA workshop event at the Tower of Thamrin, Jakarta, Monday (2 / 7/2012).

Dr. Melania clarify if it was not like to have more children should choose a long term contraception, but instead chose the short term. These conditions do not know if there are no good or counseling with such tools are not available.

The same was expressed by Dr Endang L Achadi of the UI College of Public Health, the use of such pills and injections KB should continuously or continuously. Generally, if people do not have the money then he does not buy the pill or injection, the condition is very risky to get pregnant again.

"Injections and pills is a major choice in the majority of people who do not want more children, it's easy but risky. Should use contraception permanent or long-term, but are more expensive or less affordable," said Dr Endang.

Long-term contraceptive use are more expensive, but the real pills and syringes should be used continuously so that the calculated price can be expensive because of continuous use.

"Unmet need (those who need contraception but not met) fell from 12.7 percent in 1991 to 8.6 percent in 2002/2003. But increased again to 9.1 percent in 2007 and the target in 2014 should reach 5 percent, "said Dr Endang.

Dr Endang explained by lower rates of unmet need means to reduce unwanted pregnancies, and in part to reduce the desire to have an abortion.

"The use of KB is still some obstacles, such as universal access, universal access is actually how that is achieved. For example, although the health service in sight, but because they do not have money so it would not be accessible," said Dr. Melania.
