The Sex - During this time, oxytocin or commonly known as the hormone of love known to arise as a result of physical and psychological feelings that occur in pairs. In addition, this hormone also acts to stimulate uterine contractions and maintain milk-producing glands after childbirth.

But recently a team of researchers from Japan managed to find a new use of oxytocin is the effect of anti-metabolic syndrome and new anti-obesity. This indicates that oxytocin may help regulate food intake and energy metabolism without causing adverse side effects.

Previous research also led by Yuko Maejima link between a hormone produced by the brain to control the intake of energy and its use.

"These findings reveal the effect of anti-metabolic syndrome and new anti-obesity produced by oxytocin," said Maejima of Jichi Medical University in Shimotsuka, Japan as reported by the aphroditewomenshealth, Tuesday (03/07/2012).

"Therefore, our results provide an opportunity to develop oxytocin-based obesity treatment safe and effective."

By using an animal model of obese, Maejima found that daily injections of oxytocin have been successful in reducing the amount of food consumed by these animals, including losing weight during and after treatment.

Similar results were also obtained from oxytocin invested in a mini pump. This kind of treatment methods to reduce fat in the liver, improve glucose tolerance and reduce belly fat is the major risk factors of cardiovascular disease.

In addition, mini pumps also reduce the size of cells that can store fat (adipose) but did not affect blood pressure or the activity level of obese people.
